There are many landowners who lease out their land to companies for cell phone tower lease or to set up their towers in the land. With many service providers and users of mobile phone services increasing, the demand for cell phone towers is increasing. As a result the demand for cell phone tower sites too is increasing. With an ever growing population having an insatiable appetite for mobile phones, it is for sure that this is a market for cell phones and wireless towers. Service providers therefore are in need of prime land that is located in a prime area to set up these towers for better respectability needed to reach out to their innumerable users.

Cell phone tower lease is not a difficult market but a lucrative one as the market always seems to be growing with the number of users multiplying everyday. The bottom-line always remains, regardless of what the marketing sharks preach there is always a demand and a growing need for sites for towers. In short prime land is of utmost importance. Hence prime landowners need to be aware that their land can be converted as a wireless tower site and leased out to various companies.

As in any other business the need to profit more than the investment made is evident here too. The wireless carriers in their negotiations drive a hard bargain to the landowners. They would not like to shell out more money to the landowners, in order to retain a higher margin on their profits. They would rather pay the third party subcontracting firms or the middlemen high commissions to renegotiate the wireless tower leases. This enables them to make more money off the rent by raking in huge commissions by renegotiating deals. Thus property owners should be firm in their decisions and take all precautions before signing on the lease document.

Cell phone tower marketing consultants have the knack of packaging their deals attractively to charm their way into the landowner’s hearts. The deal may sound impressive to the landowners. But with a little bit of research and some information gathering would give a clear picture. The statistics reveal that the number of users when compared to the number of service providers in a given area is very high. Therefore the price offered would seem way below what the company, the middlemen and the service providers would make out of the deal.

A single tower set up in an area is useful for many service providers and its innumerable customers. Therefore it is very likely that the users are using up the antenna space to route calls through the tower in the land. While the consumers pay huge subscriber chargers to their service providers for text messaging, voice calls or other uses, its a pity that the land owners get only a pittance as rental every month. It is not an exaggerated fact that the number of cell phone users is increasing, with the number of landowners interested in giving their land for lease too is increasing. With competition hitting up landowners who are in a hurry to sign that deal with the service providers should be canny enough to charge a higher amount, before giving in to the demands of the service providers.
